The E 44 is a versatile mechanical 4-bar polycentric knee joint designed for K1-K2 level users. It features a high-safety locking function, making it ideal for initial rehabilitation, standing, and walking exercises. As the patient progresses, the locking mechanism can be cancelled to allow free swing. Its polycentric design ensures excellent ground clearance for a safer, more confident gait.
Technological Architecture
Cancel-able Locking
Provides maximum stability during early rehabilitation. Once the user gains confidence, the lock can be disengaged to enable the joint’s polycentric motion, adapting to the user’s improving mobility.
Polycentric Kinematics
The 4-bar linkage system effectively shortens the leg during the swing phase, providing increased toe clearance. This design minimizes the risk of stumbling and ensures a safer gait pattern.
